In November 2003 God’s House officially opened it’s doors to Lafayette, Indiana led by the pastoral care and leadership of Pastor Ed and Lou Underwood. After many months of conducting bible studies in their home and searching for the right location and facility, God led them to International Square Plaza on the east side of Lafayette to a 10,000 square foot vacant building in a strip mall. Services began on Sunday November 9th with a few family and friends. The Holy Spirit was moving in a powerful way, and souls were added to the Kingdom of God. On Easter Sunday that spring the young church had a record attendance, ran out of chairs, and knew that a larger building was needed.

    Then a few months later in March 2004 God miraculously opened doors of financial blessing and moved the church right down the sidewalk to a much larger facility seating many more people, and providing administrative office space, as well as a large building next door which serves as the youth/children’s center and fellowship hall. Other ministries such as the clothing ministry, women’s & men’s ministry, student & children’s ministry were soon established. The greatest miracle of all were the lives that God was changing, and the powerful moving of His Holy Spirit during services.

    Since this time God’s House continues to be a place where people of all ages, race, and religious background can come and feel the presence and love of God. There have been those healed of cancer, brain aneurysms and other diseases, men and women delivered from habits & addictions, and families that were once broken have been brought together and restored by the power of God!

    Above all else God’s House is a place where the one true God is worshipped and where the gospel of Jesus Christ is brought forth in every service. It is a ministry that desires to turn members into ministers, and where God’s love lights the way!
