1 John 3:18-

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”

James 2:17-

“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Matthew 18:3-

“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

When God began to speak to us about this ministry, the only things we could think about was the word “Action” and the term “childlike faith.” According to what Jesus’ says, there is no faith like that of a child. It’s a simple faith, not clouded with all the things that cloud an adult’s mind. It is total dependence on God! That’s why Jesus stressed that we must be like them, because in this day and age (and really any past or future day and age) the only way you can have peace, is through total faith in God. So what if there was a ministry for children, that showed them how to put their extreme faith to action? That’s why we felt like that the perfect name for this ministry was Action Kids.

Action Kids is a place where your children can learn the word of God. The bible says “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Our goal is to show kids how to put action to the faith God has given them. We believe that if they can learn while they are young to use the faith God has given them, when they are older they will not depart from it. Through games, music and messages all focused to speak to their young hearts, we know that God will use them as mighty warriors and instruments for His’ kingdom.

It’s a place where a kid can come be a kid too. We realize that kids might not always be interested in going to sit in church, but we know they will go where they can have fun. Action Kids is a fun environment, a place kids can relate too, and come to know Jesus as their savior and best friend.

Ministry Development:

• Full Sunday services, with fun praise & worship, games, and messages that kids will understand.

• “World Changers!” This will be a group of selected kids who will help during services and different programs and outreaches. These will be kids who show leadership, and those who take that extra step to put action to their faith to change the world!

• Outreach through sidewalk shakedown, music, puppets and other street ministry. There are many families, who may not go to church, but will let their kids go. We hope to reach out to these kids and we know that God will move in the families of our area.
